Joint laboratory jointly built by Zhongyi Pharmaceutical and the three Oceanographic Research Institutes
On the afternoon of October 22, 2018, the strategic cooperation between the Third Marine Research Institute of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Fujian Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongyi Pharmaceutical) and the unveiling ceremony of the "Joint Laboratory of Marine Biological Products Industrialization Engineering Technology" were held in Shishi, Fujian.
Under the witness of leaders and experts such as Zhu Qiping, Secretary of Shishi Municipal Party Committee, Cai Feng, Director of the Third Institute of Oceanography, Zhang Haifeng, Deputy Director of the Third Institute of Oceanography, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qiu Yuanwang, Chairman of Zhongyi Pharmaceutical. Later, Secretary Zhu Qiping and Director Cai Feng unveiled the joint laboratory. Chen Li, Director of the Industry Department of the Third Institute of Oceanography, and relevant researchers of the Engineering Center attended the unveiling ceremony.
The cooperation between the two sides began in 2017, and developed five national standard samples of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine according to the technical needs of enterprises. The national standard sample for the development of marine active substances represents the highest level of technology for the preparation and purification of this compound, which provides technical support for enterprises to occupy the commanding heights of the preparation technology in this field. At the same time, it can also provide certified substance standards for domestic universities, research institutes and production enterprises to guide scientific research and production, with good social and economic benefits.
The two sides will further strengthen the sharing of technology and resources and expand the scope of cooperation by jointly building a joint laboratory of industrial engineering technology. It is planned to develop more Chinese medicine products that meet the market demand by using rich marine biological resources from the research and development of marine active substances of Chinese medicine and national standard samples.
