Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Maple Balm Team: Explorers in the field of natural medicine!

In August 2017, Fujian Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. established a team for the industrialization of Zhongyi Maple Balm, led by Qiu Yuanwang, a master of business administration from Xiamen University and chairman of Fujian Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Qiu Yuanwang has presided over and participated in more than 10 major technical innovation projects, such as automatic packaging of VE capsules, and has rich experience in drug development technology management and production and operation management. He has presided over the development of a number of new products such as capsule type children's VAD drops, VAE capsules, Star Shark liver oil sugar, allicin enteric coated capsules, and completed process reforms such as film coating of tablets, water washing of capsules, and mesh gel recovery.
The important members of the team also include Dr. Xiang Leiwen and Dr. Chen Wentao. Xiang Leiwen is engaged in scientific research on food and traditional Chinese medicine, and has rich experience in product research and development; Chen Wentao is engaged in scientific research on the comprehensive development and utilization of natural products. His scientific research achievements have won the third prize of Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award twice, and he has rich experience in product development and industrialization.
"Through ultrasonic assisted dissolution, membrane separation technology and vacuum fractionation process, the project realized low-temperature extraction and separation of maple resin, which can prevent resin polymerization and discoloration, and the rutin extract made has stable quality and good color." Qiu Yuanwang introduced that in recent years, the demand for rutin extract in domestic and foreign markets has been rising rapidly, and the requirements for product quality are also getting higher and higher. The project will completely change the status quo of high cost and serious pollution of traditional production process and improve the economic value of maple oleoresin processing by developing new extraction and separation technology of maple oleoresin.
At present, this project has obtained 2 invention patents, 1 utility model patent and 1 drug approval number. During the implementation of the project, 50 tons of daily rutin extract, 30 tons of medicinal rutin extract and 1 ton of cloud essential oil have been produced, realizing an output value of 15 million yuan. When the project is put into operation, it is expected to produce 200 tons of rutin extract for daily use, 100 tons of rutin extract for medical use, and 3 tons of cloud essential oil annually, with an output value of 60 million yuan.
The project has strict processing technology, perfect detection means, and makes full use of mountain forest resources to form a benign development pattern of "mountain forest greening, high-value development and utilization of by-products", which is not only conducive to the rational and efficient use of renewable natural resources, but also can improve economic efficiency, bring rich income to the majority of farmers, and is of great significance to promoting the development of local economy.
At the same time, according to the industry standard QB/T4427-2012 "Rue Extract Standard" and the requirements of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015 edition) "Maple Butter", and in combination with the actual production, the team formulated the standard for medicinal Rue Extract, and reported to the National Pharmacopoeia Committee, providing a basis for pharmaceutical enterprises and management departments to control the quality of medicinal Rue Extract.
Qiu Yuanwang said that in the future, the team will continue to introduce high-tech talents, create more scientific and technological achievements in the field of natural drug development and utilization, and strive to build this research and development team into a modern medical team that "develops human health industry, improves people's health level, and creates more wealth and value for society".
